We Love The Park

I took the girls to one of our favorite parks by our house which has several playgrounds, a lake, tons of ducks and a really yummy restaurant. I decided to bring crackers and bread so the girls could feed the ducks. Little did I know, the ducks apparently were starving that day and they pretty much attacked us. I had to pick up both girls from the picnic table to get them away from the crazy ducks. Both girls told me they never want to feed the ducks again. The picture below was taken when we first arrived to feed the ducks.

Soccer

We signed Peyton up for her first season of AYSO soccer and she loves it! Since Geoff and I both played soccer when we were young, it's so exciting to watch her on the field. Peyton has practice two times per week and a soccer game on Saturday. Her team includes boys and girls under the age of 5. Peyton's team uniform is red, so the coach requested suggestions from the parents for a team name. Drum roll please... Peyton's team name is, "The Red Bulls". Peyton wanted to be called the Shooting Stars (which was my old teams name) and the coach didn't go for it. This is a picture of Peyton at home, just before going to her first soccer practice.

This is another picture of Peyton at soccer practice.

Peyton's first soccer game was this past Saturday. It was so fun to watch the kids play and chase the ball. Peyton did a whole lot of running that day. We aren't supposed to keep score at this age but Peyton's team scored 3 goals, the other team, zero. :)

This is a team picture after the first game. All the kids have their horns up. The kids really loved the snacks they received after the game.

Peyton's First Day of Kindergarten

Peyton started kindergarten today. The morning started off very well and it wasn't difficult to wake her up. She had breakfast, got her clothes on and we were out the door... after a few photos of course. The whole family went to the school to meet her teacher and show her around her classroom. The teacher's prepared a list of all the birthday's in the class and it looks like Peyton is the youngest in her class. Sadness arises as I forgot my camera in the car when we took Peyton to her class. We had to park far since there were so many people on the first day and I didn't have time to go back to the car once I realized I forgot my camera. Geoff was able to snap a picture with his phone outside of her classroom.
