Peyton's 5th Birthday

Peyton's birthday started off with a wonderful surprise at her school. On Fridays, Peyton's class has a secret reader come to the class and read a book to the kids. I selected this particular Friday since it was Peyton's birthday. Grammie was the secret reader and surprised Peyton with a special book. Peyton was able to sit right next to Grammie while she read a book to the entire class. It was so cute! After Grammie read the book, we passed out goodie bags to the kids.

After school, Grammie and I took Peyton to Downtown Disney for some fun and lunch. First stop was Build-A-Bear. Peyton made two very cute My Melody's, one for herself and one for Logan. During our visit at Build-A-Bear, the entire store sang happy birthday to Peyton. She was able to stand on the stairs looking down at the crowd while everyone sang to her. She had such a big smile on her face. We left Build-A-Bear and went to Little Miss Matched, where Peyton picked out some super cute socks and a pair of flip flops. Once we finished shopping, we headed to Rainforest Café for lunch.

Peyton decided she wanted to go to Corner Bakery for her birthday dinner with the family. She LOVES Corner Bakery and would eat there every day if we would allow her to. I asked Peyton what kind of cake she wanted for her birthday and she said she wanted the cinnamon coffee cake as her birthday cake. Like mother-like daughter. Some of my family and Geoff's family joined us for the birthday celebration. Peyton received some very special gifts.

Peyton had a birthday party with friends and cousins at Color Me Mine. I'm all about having a small party, where there isn't much to clean up. This was the perfect location and all the kids got to take something special home that they made. Grammie and Aunt Nancy put together the cutest art-themed gift bags for the kids and Grammie picked out super cute cupcakes.

Halloween

Pre-Halloween Fun

To start our Halloween festivities, we headed to Geoff and my mom's office for their annual pumpkin patch. Our good friend Ella and Cousin Nick joined as well. My girls LOVE getting their face painted, as you can see. After the pumpkin patch, we headed to Ruby's for lunch. It was a great day and we look forward to this pumpkin patch every year!

Peyton's school had a wonderful Fall Festival. Peyton enjoyed seeing all her friends dressed up in their Halloween costumes. We had this little picture made of Peyton. It looks like her evil enemy with those eyes. :)

I volunteered at Peyton's school, the Friday before Halloween (which was her birthday too). The class made these super cute masks. I got a chance to meet some of the mom's, which was really great. Peyton LOVED that I volunteered in her class and she begged me come back again soon.

I Can't Keep Up

Obviously, I've had issues with time lately. I'm sure you can tell, as it's been a while since I updated this blog. I promise to be better about updating and keeping the blog current. One thing I've change about the blog is the size of the photos. I spoke to my other blogger friends and they told me trick so the photos appear larger. Thanks my blogger friends!

I'm going to sum up what we did during the month of October, exluding Peyton's birthday. Peyton's special day deserves a whole post of its own. I'm also going to prepare a separate post for Halloween as well.

October weekends were filled with Peyton's soccer games and spending time with friends.

We headed to Tustin Tiller days with several families on one Sunday afternoon. This was the second year in a row that we have gone to the festival.

Last but not least, I went to Williams-Sonoma and purchased a Sprinkles cupcake mix kit. The cupcakes were just ok. I think I like the ones straight from Sprinkles best. The girls had fun decorating, and that's all that counts. Here is what our cupcakes looked like. Can you tell Logan loves frosting?
