Pigs and a Very Silly Hat

Peyton has six book reports due this school year... yep six!! She's completed three so far, including this one on pigs. She had to do a book report on a non-fiction book about an animal. She of course picked a pig. We worked on it over the past weekend and finished it up on Wednesday. She spent the last two days practicing her oral presentation in front of us and in front of the mirror. She was very proud of her book report, can you tell!

We took these pictures this morning before school. Notice the silly hat? Today is silly hat day for the second graders. They won a box top contest, so they get to have a pizza party and the students got to wear silly hats. My little mustache head!

She thinks it's cool that pigs can swim.

Peyton and Scruffette

Peyton's class has a teddy bear named Scruffy that gets to go home with a different student each week. During the week, the student needs to document everything they did with the bear in a notebook. The notebook contains all the previous adventures of the bear so it's interesting to see where the bear has gone over the years. Last month, Peyton got the opportunity to take Scruffy home. Peyton decided to dress up the bear in girl clothes and call her Scruffette. This is Peyton's story of what they did together over a very busy weekend in December.

Picture Day for Logan

Today was picture day for Logan. I bought her this little dress and she insisted on wearing the white t-shirt underneath. Not to fond of the t-shirt, but she still looks adorable. Hopefully, the curls stayed in her hair. She looks so darn cute with those big blue eyes!
