Halloween in the Neighborhood

This year for Halloween, Peyton dressed up as Skeletina and Logan was Batgirl. I let the girls pick out their costumes from the Chasing Fireflies website and they loved them. Tonight, we met up with our neighbors and spent some time trick or treating. The girls decided they wanted to go back to the house and hand out candy pretty early. They really enjoy checking out all the costumes and seeing some of their friends from school.  Here are some pictures before and during trick or treating.

Trunk or Treat

This past weekend, our church had their annual Trunk or Treat event. This was the first time we attended something like this and the girls loved it! I was shocked to see how some of these people decorated their vans and SUVs.

Peyton's 8th Birthday

Today is Peyton's 8th birthday! She has modified days all week so we decided to have her birthday party right after school at a bakery shop. She invited a small group of girls from her class. The girls got to pick what kind of cupcake they wanted to bake and then they got to frost and decorate them as well. All the girls were so sweet and Peyton had such a special day!

Pumpkin Decorating and Carving

On Sunday, we went to our neighbor's house to decorate and carve pumpkins. This year we tried to spray paint a few of the pumpkins and then decorate them with pumpkin decorating kits we found at Target. Peyton picked a bat and Logan picked a spider. I think the painted pumpkins turned out super cute. We'll definitely do that again next year. Grammie picked out the spray paint. I loved the color of Peyton's pumpkin, sparkly black. We also did the traditional carving too. Look how adorable they all turned out!
