Mom's Birthday
Today is my mom's birthday. She would be 72 today. We miss her so much! We had a special mass for her today and they played one of her favorite songs during communion. It was beautiful. I still have this strange thought that she is on vacation and I will eventually see her again.

Catalina
The girls went to Catalina for a day last week with Grammie, aunt Nancy, uncle Terry and cousin Nick. This was the girls first time visiting Catalina and they had a blast. The adults rented a golf cart to site see around the island. On the way there, they saw dolphins and seals. If I didn't have an issue with motion sickness, I would have loved to have gone on the trip since I've never been there before.

Del Mar Day
Yesterday, a group of softball families went to the race track for the day. My friend and I drove down, while the others took the train. Before we left, I had Peyton and Logan each pick a horse they thought would win and I would bet $5.00 on each horse. Low and behold, the girls both won! Logan's initial pick didn't compete in the race so I just picked the horse listed below hers and it won! We won $11.50 on Peyton's horse and $24.50 on Logan's horse. They did such a great job picking horses, I guess I need to take them to the track next time...

Movie Night at Newport Dunes
On Saturday night, we went to the movies... on the beach! The movie started at dusk and I must say, the weather was perfect! We made s'mores, the girls played volleyball and it was just a fun evening spent with friends. Throughout the summer, you can check out movies on Friday or Saturday night at the Newport Dunes. Here is a link to the movies they'll being showing all summer. We'll definitely be back.

Soccer Time for Logan
Logan is so excited to play soccer and fall ball officially start this morning! She has the same coaches as last year and she knows several girls on the team. We're so excited and I know Logan is going to have a great season!
