Bye Bye Training Wheels
I'm the proudest mommy ever!!! Peyton is riding her bike, without training wheels!!!
On Saturday, my neighbor came over and we were chatting about taking Peyton's training wheels off her bike. She made the suggestion that she would show Peyton how to ride her bike without training wheels. I told her, go ahead and take the training wheels off so she headed home to get her tool kit. Peyton was a little nervous at first, I could just see it in her face that she really wanted to give this a try. I was so proud, she fell a couple times...gracefully of course. My neighbor was so patient with Peyton and she just kept getting back on the bike to keep trying again. A big thank you to my neighbor!
Sunday came around and the first thing Peyton wanted to do was go outside to practice riding her bike. Logan said she wanted to take her training wheels off too. Unfortunately, Logan is still in a tricycle. he he... Check out the helmet on Logan that Auntie Carol bought her for Easter.
This is how our Sunday started...
And, this is how our Sunday ended... (check the smile on my girl!) She's awesome!

Another Visit
Since daddy pretty much works every other Sunday, we usually go pay him a visit once the game is finished. The girls think it's cool to run out on the field and play in the dugout. The entire Bennett family was at the stadium on this particular Sunday, so of course we had to take some photos.

Easter... Just a Little Late
As you can see, I've been a little behind on updating the blog. I completely forgot to do a post dedicated to Easter... so here it is.
The Easter Bunny showed up at our house on the Saturday before Easter. Both the girls were so scared when Mr. Easter Bunny walked in the house. Logan pretty much cried the whole time and Peyton was very suspicious of the Easter Bunny. The guy hiding in the suit was my brother John! My brother has rented a bunny suit for the past couple years to surprise one of his friend's child. John thought it would be nice to come to the house to surprise the girls, the girls didn't think it was nice at all. My brother never spoke once, which was surprising in itself. He was there about 10 minutes and when he left, Peyton said, "Was that Uncle John dressed in a bunny suit?" What a nice uncle!

And They Danced.....
A local dance studio had a free ballet class for kids from ages 4 to 6. A group of my friends and I decided to sign the girls up for the class. Logan is only 3 so she stayed home with daddy. It ended up being a super cute event put on by the studio that included, arts and crafts, a dance class and an Alice in Wonderland ballet performance that had all kids from the studio in it.
After the class, Peyton decided she wanted to take a hip hop class. Apparently, ballet is not meant for her (yet). I signed both girls up for their dance classes through the Boys & Girls Club. Peyton is loving her hip hop class. They are learning a routine with the new J. Lo song. The girls in Peyton's class are a little older (9 and 13), but the teacher was very impressed by the fact that this was her first real dance lesson. I will be posting a video later of her doing the routine.
Logan's first ballet class was apparently too overwhelming for her since a BOY was in her class. Yes, a boy! She started the dance class off with a big smile and the minute she saw a little boy in the class, she ran to me and started crying. The entire 50 minutes... she cried. She didn't understand why a boy was in her ballet class. I tried to explain to her that boys like to dance and they can take ballet too, but she didn't get it. At first I thought, great, I justed wasted $30! Then I thought, we are going to go to the next dance class... even if she cries again. Well, the next week started out like the first, and then, about 10 minutes in to the class she went out on the dance floor and danced! She had such a big smile on her face and she participated in everything the teacher was doing. She ran over during the class and said she was having so much fun. Proud mommy! I just love seeing her dance around in the little ballet outfit. I think her favorite part of the class is at the end, when the teacher gives all the kids a stamp on their hand. You like how Logan asked for two?

Memorial Day Weekend - Swim Fest 2011!
The girls spent the majority of their weekend in a pool. I will have to say, since Peyton swam all weekend, she is swimming way better than she was just last week! I'm so proud of her. Friday night we went to our neighbor's house for a swim party with the neighborhood kids.
On Saturday, Geoff and I went to a funeral for our good friend Ivan. He really touched so many lives, as there were 100's of people that attended the funeral. He was killed by a drunk driver so please... DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE!!!!
Saturday night, I went to the Dodger's game with my friend Jill. It's been a while since I went out with the girls. I haven't been to a Dodger game in about 20 years!!
We went to a bbq at our friend's house in Orange on Sunday. The girls were so excited when they saw their BBF from Mommy Kay's house at the bbq. Peyton swam so much on Sunday that her feet were all blistered on the bottom. She was in the pool for over 6 hours! The only reason she got out of the pool was to use the restroom and eat lunch. Logan is always so careful about getting her face wet so she swam around with her floaties and sunglasses on.
On Memorial Day, we went to my parent's house for a bbq. Peyton and Logan spent more time in the pool... imagine that. Peyton was even brave enough to jump off the diving board. Check out her first cannon ball! Madi's facial expression in the photo when Peyton lands in the water makes me giggle. Logan spent her time in the warm spa.
In the evening, we went to another bbq, to celebrate Luke's 8th birthday. Of course, by the end of the night the kids busted out the Ipod and all the kids danced and sang on the mic.

Mother's Day 2011
I had a very special Mother's Day, celebrating with family. I spent the day with the girls and Grammie. We started the day with a yummy breakfast that the girls helped make and then went to Crystal Court for lunch at Ruby's. After lunch, the girls road on the carousel and we did a little shopping. Since daddy had to work, we decided to head to the stadium to pay him a visit. The girls just love running on the field, as if it's their playground.
