Oh Christmas Tree

We ventured out with my dad this past weekend to pick out a Christmas tree. We've had a fake tree for the last 6 years so we felt it was time to get a real tree. I truly missed the smell of pine in the house during the holidays. Last year, I bought a wreath, so I was able to get the pine smell for a short period of time.

The kids had fun picking out the tree. The tree lot opened up the day after Thanksgiving. We were there the Sunday after Thanksgiving and I was shocked to see that so many trees were all ready bought! Now, we did find a nice tree of course but I didn't realize it was going to be slim pickens. We'll go back in a couple weeks to cut the tree down and bring it home to decorate. I can't believe Christmas is right around the corner.

Thanksgiving in Vegas

This year, we headed to Vegas for Thanksgiving with our good friends.  We all had such an amazing time.  Where else can you meet the characters from Sesame Street, stand in front of the Eiffel Tower, take the kids on a party bus, go bowling, visit the M&M store, take a picture in front of the Brooklyn Bridge... and so much more!  Got to love Vegas!  Happy Thanksgiving to all our family and friends!

Thanksgiving Food Drives

There are so many ways to give around Thanksgiving time. Last year, Logan and I helped out with creating baskets of food for my firm's Thanksgiving Food Drive.

This year, we'll be doing the same.  We already bought a whole lot of stuffing and cranberry sauce.  If you're interested in donating here is some information.

Kring & Chung Food Drive

Angels Food Drive

The Angels' Groundskeepers will host their 12th annual Thanksgiving Holiday Canned Food Drive from Friday, November 16th thru Sunday, November 18th at Angel Stadium of Anaheim (weather permitting).

All proceeds will benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County in the fight against hunger during the holiday season. Fans will have the opportunity to step up to the plate at Angel Stadium and take a swing for the fences. A donation of two canned food items or $1 per pitch will allow fans to test their pitching skills in the bullpen. Fans will also have the opportunity to shag fly balls in the outfield for a donation of $25 for 15 minutes.

The Angels will provide bats, balls and helmets.

The Angels Clubhouse Attendants will also provide a tour of the Clubhouse for a donation of $10. Friday, November 16th thru Sunday, November 18th at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. Hours for the food drive will be 8AM - 4PM. Participants will enter Angel Stadium through Gate #1 and proceed to the Field Level.

A Special Tea Party

Peyton really wanted to have a tea party for her 7th birthday. She loved going to high tea at Heathman Hotel in Portland so much that she just had to do something like that for her birthday. I found Olivia's Dollhouse and Tea Room and thought it would be the perfect place.

The girls had the best time ever!!! They got to play dress up, they got their hair and nails done and they got to do a little fashion show. After the fashion show, the girls had tea and snacks at the heart table. Peyton had so much fun, and she's talked her sister into having her birthday party at the same place next year. We'll see about that one.  My friend and I took tons of pictures...
