Goodbye 2012, Hello 2013

I say good riddance to 2012 and hope that 2013 brings everyone happiness, good health and prosperity.

2013 has to be better than 2012.  My mom's passing this past April made 2012 the worst year yet. I miss her so much and still can't comprehend that she's no longer with us.

Being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis in November has made for some challenges for me.  I can only hope that all the medication, vitamins/supplements and change in diet start helping relieve some of this pain and swelling.  To think that I'm stuck with this for the rest of my life is rather disturbing!

So let's move to more happier times.  Looking back at 2012, here are some of my favorite things we did...

  1. Preparing for and celebrating Logan's 4th birthday. I have so many memories of my mom and I working on her party.
  2. Peyton playing her first year of softball (and winning the championship for her division).
  3. Visiting Medieval Times for the first time with our friends. The girls loved it!
  4. Spending July 4th with friends and family.
  5. Visiting my sister in Oregon for 10 whole days. Miss her and her family tremendously!
  6. Celebrating my 40th birthday in Hawaii!
  7. Taking a mini vacation with our friends to Crestline. We had such a great time.
  8. The girls got to meet Mike Trout for the first time.
  9. Making a Summer Bucket List. We didn't finish all 50 items, but we were close.
  10. Celebrating Peyton's 7th birthday at Olivia's Dollhouse and Tea Room.
  11. Thanksgiving in Vegas.
  12. Enjoying Christmas with family.
So here's to a blessed new year!

Christmas 2012

This year we spent Christmas Eve at my dad's house with my sister Karen and her family and on Christmas Day, we went to Geoff's Aunt's house. Grammie spent the night at our house on Christmas Eve and Geoff's dad came over in the morning to watch the girls open up their presents.

Auntie Carol and Andrew came for a visit to our house on Christmas Eve and Uncle John and Aunt Jackie spent some time with the girls Christmas morning.

Santa was very good to the girls this year. Logan was a little sad since Santa didn't bring anything that was on her list. Her list included the following: An Ipad, skateboard, trampoline and $100,000. However, she does love her new hot pink camera.  Peyton is loving her new roller skates too.

I really wanted a couple nice pictures of the family.  Sorry for all the posed shots.

December Happenings

This December has been filled with so many holiday related things. Logan had her Christmas performance, our Elf on the Shelf Olivia came out this month, we went to visit Santa's Workshop, took a harbor cruise and had dinner at our friend's house, just to name a few.

Logan was an Angel for her performance.

Logan was all smiles before her performance...

The smile didn't last once she got in to the church.
She said, "There was too much people mommy."

She sang her heart out, but cried the entire time on stage.

Logan with her teacher, she was much happier once the performance was over.

Logans' friends enjoyed the show!

One day, the girls were super naughty... so was Olivia.

Is Logan on the naughty or the nice list?

The kids loved the snow!

The girls had so much with Ella.
