Peyton's Performance and Movie Night

Peyton's school recently had a performance honoring the work of composer Aaron Copland. Peyton's class sang a song, while others performed dance numbers and displayed art work, to name a few. Each grade did something a little different. Peyton's class was instructed to wear red, white and blue for the performance. How cute is her little outfit?

Friday night the girls and I decided to have movie night.  Yes, that meant, we completed our first item off our Summer Bucket List.  I picked out the movie, and it happens to be one of my favorites... The Sandlot.  Since both the girls are so into watching the Angels play, I figured it would be a cute movie for them to watch.  They loved it and couldn't wait to tell dad all about the movie Saturday morning after their gymanstics class.

Wine Tasting

On Sunday, we headed to Temecula with our friends for some wine tasting. The weather was perfect and it was absolutely beautiful outside. Our first stop was Wilson Creek Winery. Hands down, that was the best winery of the day according to Geoff and our friends. Since I didn't partake in the tasting, I went outside to check out the grounds and it was just so peaceful and relaxing there. We ended up checking out about 5 wineries total. Our last stop was Maurice Car'rie to pick up a brie bread bowl. I can't wait to pop that in oven!

Family Fun x 3

On Saturday, we celebrated 3 special birthdays as Geoff's sister was in town from Arizona. The kids got to jump in the bounce house, go swimming and soak up the sun outside. Our kids play SO well together.  You'd never guess they only see each other about 3 times a year. We had such a great time spending the day with Geoff's side of the family.

Bridging Ceremony

Peyton is officially a Brownie! Yesterday she had her bridging ceremony from Daisy to Brownie at the park right next to her school. According to the Girls Scout's website, bridging is defined as:

Bridging is an important transition in a Girl Scout's life. It's a defining moment when a girl becomes aware of her achievements and is ready for new adventures and responsibilities.

I know some of the new responsibilities will be selling more Girl Scout cookies. ha ha! All the girls walked across the bridge and the older Girl Scout's helped them out of their old Daisy bibs and into their new Brownie vests.
