Christmas

Christmas morning the girls woke up around 7:15 a.m. I figured they would have woken up earlier, but I was happy it was after 7:00 a.m. since we were up until 1:00 a.m. wrapping presents. I swear next year I will plan ahead. Geoff's mom spent the night and his dad came over in the morning for breakfast and to watch the girls open their gifts. The girls were so excited opening all their presents. After the craziness, I headed to church with my dad, sister and Madi and then we took flowers to the cemetery for my mom. Ugh, I miss her so much! I ended staying at my dad's the rest of the afternoon to help prepare dinner. Geoff and the girls came by in the afternoon so we could celebrate with my family.

Christmas Eve with Friends and Cookie Decorating

On Christmas Eve, we went to our friend Stacy and Vicki's house to celebrate the holidays with friends. Peyton and Logan's favorite part of the evening was the kids gift exchange. Logan doesn't quite understand the whole game, but after a few tears, she ended up with a light up pillow and Peyton got two movie tickets. Logan walked around and took a whole bunch of pictures with my camera. Below are a few from the evening.

Our neighbors game over to our house to decorate gingerbread cookies and cupcakes.  We had lots of candy and sprinkles to decorate the cookies.  I think the kids sampled more candy than they put on their gingerbread cookies.

Disney On Ice with Papa

For Christmas, my dad took the girls to see Disney on Ice. The girls had a really hard time coming up with a Christmas list this year so I thought an experience would be the perfect gift from my dad. The girls really enjoyed the show and so did my dad and I.

Cousins, Cousins, Cousins

This week, Geoff's sister and family came for a visit from Arizona. Peyton and Logan had so much fun playing with their cousins. I wish they lived closer!

Holiday Photos and Decorating the House for Christmas

Logan recently asked me when she was going to see Santa so she could tell him what is on her Christmas list. So we decided to get the girls dressed up and we took a trip to Crystal Court to meet Santa. After meeting Santa, I decided to take some photos around the mall to potentially put on this year's Christmas card. The girls were in rare form posing for their photos. Check out these silly girls.

{perfect for the Christmas card, right?}

Once we finished with the photos, we headed home to decorate the Christmas tree and put out nativity sets that were once my moms. She loved to collect them, so I keep the tradition going by having the girls help me put them together every year. So far, we have 6 different nativity sets.
