Hair Cut and Mini Photo Session
Geoff took the girls to get their hair cut yesterday. Peyton decided the hairdresser wasn't a good listener because she asked the hairdresser to cut her hair to her shoulders. Well, the hairdresser cut it just below her ears. Which at first, didn't make for a happy Peyton. She called me on the phone crying, the second she left the hair salon. I had to chuckle when she told me, "I'm not going to stop crying until all my hair grows out." By the time I saw both the girls after work, Peyton was a happy camper again and she really likes her hair. I think it's a perfect summertime hair cut. Logan got about 4 inches cut off so now her hair looks super healthy. We had dinner at my brother and sister in law's house yesterday. As we waited for dinner, I had to take some photos of the new hairdos.

Mother's Day
My Mother's Day festivities started the Friday prior to Mother's Day. I went with Logan to her class for Muffins with Mom. Logan made me a very special candle holder, a beautiful card and she made two signs that talk about why she loves me so much.
I got home on Friday and Peyton couldn't wait until Mother's Day to give the gifts that she made at school. She was so excited to watch me open the gifts. She made this little vase and paper flower at her after school program. She made the pot and yellow flower pen in her first grade class.
Sunday morning, Grammie came over and Geoff made breakfast for all of us. In the afternoon, we went to my parent's house for dinner. This was the first Mother's Day since my mom passed away so I had some difficult moments throughout the day. My dad put a big smile on my face once we got to his house because he picked out the sweetest card that just meant so much to me.

Love these girls!

Mini Vacation to San Diego
Geoff and I took a trip to see the Angels play the Padres at Petco Park. This was the first time Geoff and I have ever seen the Angels play. I've sat with him in the stands if he came to visit during a home game but that's about it. Wish the Angels would have won the series but unfortunately, no. We did have a great time with Shane and Cassie on Friday night and then Brooke, Ty, Annie and Tom came to see the game with us on Saturday night. We stayed at a wonderful hotel called Hotel Indigo. It had an amazing view of San Diego! Thanks Grammie for watching the girls!

Sock Hop
Peyton's Girl Scout Troop recently went to a sock hop. Peyton couldn't understand why people would want to wear skirts that were so big, let alone a skirt with a dog on the front of it. She's going to have to watch Grease, well maybe in in about 10 years she'll be ready for that movie. Peyton really enjoyed herself at the sock hop and she had so much fun learning new dance moves. Didn't the girls look cute in their little 50's outfits.

A Night With The Girls
I got a night out with the girls recently and we headed to the Coachella Music Festival in Indio. Thanks to Annie and Stew, we had VIP passes which allowed us access to be up close and personal with the artists. The DJ, David Guetta was one of the main artists we saw. I felt like I was a kid again. There were thousands of people screaming and I have to say, all his music sounded the same. It's a sign I'm getting old. Honestly, he put on good show. We were up so close that the speakers nearly made me deaf the rest of the night. Good times!
