Peyton Graduated From Preschool Today

Today was a super special day for Peyton, as she graduated from preschool! I can't believe she is going to start kindergarten in September. I know Peyton will truly miss her teacher, she is very special to Peyton.

We started the evening off by going to dinner with some of our family members, my good friend Rachel and her family joined us as well. We had yummy chicken, salads, nachos, etc. Ok, so not the healthiest dinner, but we had a good time sharing all our food.

Once we finished with dinner, we headed to the school to watch the performance by all the students. Peyton had a chance to say hi to some of her friends before the performance, aren't her friends so cute! I must say, the kids really got in to singing and dancing on stage and it was truly a joy to watch. Peyton really loves to sing and do hand motions to the songs. I just loved watching her on stage with a big smile on her face. After the students performed for the parents and friends, the graduation began. Oh wait, after the performance, Logan had a mini meltdown and then the graduation began. :)

The graduates walked down the aisle with sashes over their shoulders and big smiles on their faces. I videotaped most of the performance from my little digital camera, so we'll see how that one turns out tomorrow. I'm sure it was a big shaky. The teachers gave out diplomas to the kids and the parents got a chance to take pictures while they were on stage. Peyton received a special award from her teacher as well. Peyton's teacher gave her an award for the ability to make friends.... that's my little social butterfly. I'm so proud of Peyton and she has learned so much since she started preschool last September. We really loved all the teachers and the support they gave Peyton. When the graduation was finished, we all headed outside for juice and cookies. Peyton got a chance to say bye to her friends and to her teacher as well. Peyton will be headed back to Momma Kay's house for the summer and I know she'll enjoy that. Peyton continiously asks me what the word summer means... I tried to explain but I'm sure she'll understand better once she gets older.

Weekend

We had a pretty simple weekend considering we have had so much going on lately. Peyton started swim lessons at the community pool. Daddy thinks it's a bit much because of the kids that are screaming for their parents, but I think all the kids will start to get use to it. Peyton seemed to enjoy it, plus she gets to spend time with her friend during the swim lessons. Daddy had to go to work after swim lessons so it was just the girls and I for the rest of the weekend.

After Peyton had swim lessons, we went to Megan's first birthday party with Rachel. It was so beautiful and Megan was dressed so cute in her traditional Korean dress. It was like a mini wedding! We had a wonderful time and felt honored to be a part of Megan's special day.

Sunday morning we took it easy because Peyton had a bad tummy in the middle of night. I think something didn't agree with her tummby because she was fine by the late morning. Peyton's friend Sam came over to the house for a playdate. The girls went swimming in the pool, I baked cupcakes for the girls to decorate and we went to the park. Logan found Sam's backpack and she didn't want to take it off. Logan loves Dora and I finally found the backpack so of course I had to buy it. Logan doesn't want to take it off. :)

After Peyton's friend left, we had a chance to water the garden and we also went to church.

Father's Day Weekend

Daddy went to Chicago for 4 days to watch the Angels play the Cubs and sadly, he missed our Father's Day celebration. The girls were so excited to make cute videos in the morning to wish daddy a happy day. We sent them on the iPhone so he could get them in Chicago. I think it made his day. :)

Friday morning, Peyton's school had a Father's Day celebration called "donuts with dad". Since Geoff was out of town, my dad took Geoff's place. My dad said Peyton was so excited to show him around her classroom.

Saturday morning, I had a soccer game so my parents watched the girls. We lost, so no more soccer for a while! In the afternoon, we went to Grammie's house so the girls could go swimming. Peyton is doing so good! Logan just wanted to put her feet in and then she was over it. :)

Sunday morning, the girls and I headed to my parent's house to celebrate Father's Day with my dad and family. Peyton is so funny... she asked if she could pick out a dress for her and Logan to wear to my parent's house. Well, she picked out their Christmas dresses! I figured since they only wore them once, why not. Plus, Peyton was so excited to show me the dresses she picked out. I couldn't dare tell her no!

My mom made such a wonderful breakfast including, french toast, bacon, ham, sausage and a fruit salad, which my brother made. We got my dad a really cool espresso maker and bunch of coffee to go with it.

Angels Game

During the week, the girls and I went to the Angels v. Brewers game. Our friend Sara was able to get a suite so it was much easier to take the girls by myself. Note to self, if I ever sit in a suite again, I will not order chicken nuggets in the suite. I will take my lazy rear end downstairs to get the girls chicken stars from Carl's Jr. next time. I stupidly ordered chicken nuggets inside the suite and $138 later, I got the silly chicken nuggets I wanted for the kids to eat for dinner. I didn't realize I was ordering for the entire suite, I just wanted 2 chicken nuggets and instead I got 20 with a big bowl of ranch and bbq sauce. Peyton handed me a card that was in the suite (which was for the clublevel folks that were not sitting in suite). Those chicken nuggets were $9.50... not $138!!! Never again... never again!!! :) The friends in the suite with us were nice enough to give me part of the money which was nice. Daddy got a chance to come up a visit us too while he was working. Unfortunately, the Angels lost that night too!

Ok, back to my chicken issue... can you see the menu card on the floor, to the right of Peyton's feet... that was the menu I ordered from, not realizing that was for the people below us. ARGH!!! That darn usher that left them on the floor of our suite!

They gave away these cute fedora hats.

Sleepovers

The girls and I had two sleepovers this weekend... Friday night at grandma and papa's house and Saturday at Annie and Tom's house. Daddy spent Saturday night with us at Annie and Tom's house. I had a soccer game Saturday morning so I was going to take Peyton for a sleepover Friday night at my parent's house. Logan realized we were leaving so she said she wanted to go too. Logan immediately got her flip flops on and said, let's go momma. I couldn't say no, so the girls and I headed to my parents for the night.

Saturday night, we headed to Pizza Port for dinner with the Faris family. The kids spent most of their time (and my change from the bottom of my purse) at the little quarter machines getting toys, tattoos and stickers. After dinner, we headed to Annie and Tom's house so the kids could go swimming. We ended up spending the night, which was a great idea because Sunday morning Tom and Geoff picked up the yummiest breakfast burritos in the world. Oh how I love breakfast burritos!!!

How can Peyton see out of her goggles with all the fog in them?
